I view SenSen as my eyes on the street that captures accurate, on scale information that we need to better run our business. We now have metrics and KPIs behind what is actually happening on our streets with a very high level of accuracy, which gives us the ability to manage our assets and respond proactively to changing conditions. The partnership has now expanded across our portfolio.

SenFORCE isn’t just about issuing fines, it’s about making our streets safer, our traffic smoother, and our city more accessible. The technology can take really high quality images while in motion and that allows our officers to view that evidence back in the office.

The technology has great strategic value. We can now look at trends, which zones see more offending, where deterrence is working and target those areas more effectively. We worked closely with SenSen to refine the rollout. We gave feedback, they gave feedback, and together we found the best way forward.

The system itself recognizes what zone it’s in. It can recognize signage and then, any vehicle that’s in violation of the bylaw, it automatically starts taking pictures of the vehicle, mainly the license plate, and some background pictures. And the operator continues driving by. It’s almost indisputable because the evidence is so strong.
